About 1A Technologies
1A Technologies is a provider of industrial additive manufacturing hardware and software using the Screw Extrusion Additive Manufacturing (SEAM) process. At its core is the patented bypass nozzle technology for melt flow control, with which plastic pellets – such as PA6 GF/CF, PP GF, TPE, TPU, recyclates and natural fiber compounds – are processed at throughputs of up to 18 kg/h. The portfolio includes the SEAM printing systems Penta SEAM (hybrid with milling on 5-axis machines from Metrom), SEAM Hex with hexapod table, the EPIC3D gantry machine for large components, and Robo SEAM, plus the extruder units SEAM light, 1K and 2K. For additive and subtractive process chains, the CAD-CAM software HY5CAM based on RhinoCAD and ModuleWorks is offered. Application fields include tooling and fixture construction, automotive and boat building, facades, furniture, machine frames, and orthopedics, for example in the AM-Ortho project with Fraunhofer IWU.

SEAM Hybrid (additive + subtractive)
Additive printing and milling in one 5-axis machine in a single setup.
PA6 GF/CF
Glass or carbon fiber reinforced PA6 for large-format, load-bearing structural components.
