2R-Tec GmbH & Co. KG, based in Dautphetal, develops a building-integrated BIPV system under the SurPlus Energy brand that combines photovoltaics, solar thermal energy and wind power in a self-supporting building envelope. The ultra-thin, flexible solar film with a silicone coating is applied to carbon-fiber-reinforced insulation materials and can be produced in various colors and decors. Beneath the PV film run guide channels for the integrated solar thermal system, whose medium is used for heating and hot water and increases the efficiency of the PV film. Wind turbines integrated into the roof ridge generate additional electrical energy. The modular elements are manufactured in a continuous production process and used for roof and facade applications as well as noise barriers, garage solutions and AI data centers. Customers are building manufacturers and the construction and energy technology sectors in German-speaking countries.
