3defacto is an owner-managed engineering office and special machinery manufacturer founded in 2000 by Peter Ahlmer, headquartered in Mühltal with additional locations in Darmstadt and Rieste. More than 80 employees develop and manufacture complex special machinery, industrial plant solutions, wheel assembly machines and pipe processing machines (Copier business division). The service portfolio includes changeover-free, modular turnkey systems, engineering and design services, CNC turning and 5-axis milling, welded constructions, control cabinet construction, PLC programming and hydraulics through to installation and commissioning. With its own measuring room and technical test center as well as digital industrial automation (IXON), 3defacto serves industries such as pharmaceuticals, chemicals, food, bulk solids, automotive and general mechanical engineering – according to the “Made in Germany” standard.
