About 3S
Founded in 1991 in Roitham, Upper Austria, 3S GmbH specializes in the manufacture of core components for extrusion systems. The product range includes extruder screws, cylinders, feed components and screws with highly wear-protected units for plastics processing with additives. The company is part of the EREMA Group and supplies, among others, the recycling systems industry as well as the petroleum industry. Manufacturing is carried out with an extensive machine fleet: screw milling machines, CNC turn-mill machines (WFL M60/M65/M80, MPMC 850), cylindrical, internal and surface grinding machines, honing and polishing machines, laser drilling and laser welding systems as well as PTA welding. In addition, 3S offers screw and cylinder regeneration, CAD drawing creation, wear measurement and annual machine checks. Around 65 employees work at the two production sites in Roitham (3,500 m², approx. 50 employees in two-shift operation) and Wartberg im Mürztal (since 2010).
