3S Swiss Solar Solutions AG, headquartered in Gwatt/Thun, develops and produces building-integrated photovoltaic systems (BIPV) for energy-producing building envelopes. The portfolio includes the MegaSlate® solar roof system as well as TeraSlate, solar facades, solar railings, overhead installations, and hybrid and flat-roof systems; in addition, mounting systems, PV and SW snow guards and fall protection, thermal collectors and monitoring systems are manufactured. The solar modules are available in various dimensions and colors, are integrated directly into roofs, facades, balcony railings or overhead structures, and are manufactured to Swiss environmental standards. The systems are distributed via specialized trade partners such as installers, roofers, architects and specialist planners; in addition, the company offers system planning, system contracting as well as service and maintenance. Reference projects include, among others, the solar facade of the Scex Rouge mountain station on Glacier 3000, the Autohotel P791 The Car Residence in Belp, the Altes Tramdepot Bern, the Hotel Maison Hornberg and the solar housing development Wasserwis in Ermatingen. In 2024, the company founded subsidiaries 3S Swiss Solar Solutions Germany GmbH and 3S Swiss Solar Solutions Austria to expand in the DACH region.
