A. Milazzo Medizintechnik GmbH was founded in 1971 by Antonino Milazzo in Tuttlingen and specializes in the production of surgical precision scissors. The company manufactures standard instruments such as Metzenbaum, Mayo and De Bakey scissors as well as difficult-to-produce micro scissors and custom-made products to customer specification, e.g. with special dimensions, Supercut grinding or serration. Value-added processes include grinding (Supercut grinding), polishing, blasting, matting as well as TiAlN and carbon coatings. Applications are primarily in cardiovascular surgery and plastic surgery. Since 2000 the company has produced in its own manufacturing facility on Föhrenstraße in Tuttlingen; since January 2021 it has been run by Davide Milazzo in the second generation. Manufacturing takes place exclusively in Germany; the company is certified to DIN EN ISO 13485.
