Know-how and experience from three generations

A. Roth Sand- und Kieswerk GmbH (Sand Roth) is a family business founded in 1948, now in its third generation, headquartered in Marktsteft (Lower Franconia). The company extracts and processes sand and gravel material at two sites in Upper and Middle Franconia: the Eggolsheim plant (extraction since 2004, with a batching plant for screed sands and graded gravels) and the Gremsdorf plant (extraction since 1997, focusing on sands for the concrete and asphalt industry). The portfolio includes construction sand and construction gravel in various gradations, washed concrete sand 0-2 mm, screed sand 0-8 mm, fine sand/pit sand 0-1 mm, graded gravel 0-16 and 0-32 mm in blends such as 80/20, 75/25, 70/30 and 60/40, frost protection layers, diabase chippings, decorative gravels and screened arable topsoil. As the Steigerwald mixing plant, it also produces landscaping soils and substrates (tree, roof and lawn substrates, perennial soils) for partner GaLa-Erden. Products for the concrete and asphalt industry are certified by BAYBÜV in accordance with EN 12620, EN 13139 and EN 13043. The delivery service supplies construction sites directly with tandem combinations and solo 3-axle trucks; at both plants, uncontaminated excavated soil (EPP Bavaria Z0) is accepted for backfilling and recultivation.
