About Aare Bier
Aare Bier AG is a brewery founded in 2007 and based in Bargen in the Bernese Seeland (Switzerland). The company produces unfiltered, untreated beer specialities such as Kellerfrisch, Amber, Weizen, Swiss Pale Ale as well as alcohol-free beers, brewed in accordance with the Purity Law of 1516 using drinking water from the Schanze spring. In addition to its own range, the brewery offers contract brewing and third-party bottling for external customers such as the Bernese contract brewery BLZ, Buechiberger Bier and Fäzäbräu. Other products include spirits (London Dry Gin, whisky, liqueur) and hard seltzer for external customers. The brewery operates its own bottling and packaging, rents out festival equipment (draught trailers, refrigeration trailers, coolers, glasses) and supplies, among others, Coop. Following the 2019 expansion to a 3-vessel brewhouse, the production capacity is 9,000 hl/year, with 1,560 hl of storage capacity and 640 hl of fermentation tank capacity.
