About us
Aare Orthopädie AG is a Swiss orthopaedic and rehabilitation technology company based in Bern with a branch in Thun. Since 1 January 2024, it has been operating as the successor solution to Orthopädie- und Rehatechnik Sieber. The team of around 10 specialists, including certified master orthopaedic technicians and a master orthopaedic shoemaker, manufactures and fits orthopaedic, rehabilitation and shoe-technology aids: custom-made orthoses such as dynamic foot-drop supports made of carbon using the prepreg process, corsets, seating shells, orthopaedic shoes and insoles as well as individually configured wheelchairs. In addition, daily living aids and products from renowned manufacturers are offered. Patients served include children, adolescents and adults, among others in cooperation with institutions such as the children's clinic of Inselspital Bern. Production is carried out individually as one-off custom manufacture, including 3D-printed lower-leg orthoses.

Carbon (carbon fibre)
Used for dynamic foot-drop orthoses manufactured using the prepreg process, enabling lightweight, rigid custom-made products.
Aluminium
Used in orthoses, braces and wheelchair frames with high strength at low weight.
Stainless steel
