About Aareplast
Aareplast AG is an owner-managed Swiss family company with sites in Rickenbach and Gränichen that manufactures plastic components from thermoplastics and thermosets. Its range of services includes thermoplastic injection molding with part weights of 2 g to 1800 g, thermoset injection molding (BMC, SMC) with weights of 2 g to 5000 g, thermoset compression molding with weights up to 10 000 g, as well as injection-compression molding and transfer molding for encapsulating electronics with epoxy. Metal inserts can be overmolded. Clamping forces range from 25 to 700 tons; part-removal handling and robot automation ensure stable processes, and a host computer records all order data for statistical evaluation. Most of the company's know-how lies in its in-house tool design. Customers come from medical technology, the electrical industry, rail technology, construction and building technology, and automotive; production is carried out partly in climate-controlled and ESD-safe environments.

Materials and Processes
Thermoplastics
Processed by injection molding with clamping forces from 40 to 450 tons, also with metal inserts.
Thermosets
Injection molding, injection-compression molding, compression molding and transfer molding for electrically and thermally stressed components.
BMC
Bulk Molding Compound for injection and compression molding, e.g. in the electrical and medical technology sectors.
SMC
Sheet Molding Compound for injection and compression molding, among other things for operating room lights.
GMT
Glass-fiber-reinforced thermoplastic for the compression molding process with large part weights.
EP (Epoxy)
For transfer molding to encapsulate electronics, e.g. in the automotive industry.
PF (Phenolic)
Thermoset for injection and compression molding with good fire behavior.
UP (Polyester)
Wet polyester, among other things for operating room lights made of SMC and BMC.
MF (Melamine)
Thermoset for injection-molded and compression-molded parts.
HF
Thermoset resin for injection and compression molding.
DAP
Diallyl phthalate for precise electrical components.
