About AATB
AATB is a studio by Andrea Anner and Thibault Brevet based in Zurich with a second studio in Marseille. The duo treats robotics as a material and deploys industrial robot arms outside of factory logic: robot arms become performers, collaborators and interaction partners in everyday situations. The practice combines engineering with choreography, making human-machine interaction visible and tangible. Works by AATB have been shown, among others, at ZKM Karlsruhe, V&A Dundee, Ars Electronica Linz, New Museum New York, the Art Biennale and Architecture Biennale Venice, the Chengdu Biennale, Unfold X Seoul, APS Shanghai and the Beijing Art and Technology Biennale. Residencies took the studio to CERN and Atelier Luma in Arles. In addition to installations and artworks, AATB gives lectures, runs workshops and teaches internationally, among others at the Seoul Institute of the Arts, ZHdK, ECAL, HEAD and SUPSI.
