AB-CT – Advanced Breast-CT GmbH is a medical technology company based in Erlangen, which emerged as a spin-off from the Institute for Medical Physics at the University of Erlangen (Prof. Willi A. Kalender). The company specializes in research and development of solutions for diagnostic breast imaging in women. The core product is nu:view, the first dedicated spiral breast CT with Photon-Counting technology, which enables true 3D images without overlap, high isotropic spatial resolution, low dose in the mammography range, and compression-free examinations with scan times of 2 to 12 seconds. The system is optimized for fast acquisitions with 7–12 seconds per scan and can be fully integrated into clinical IT environments (RIS & PACS). The goal is to enable radiologists worldwide to achieve earlier diagnosis of breast cancer.
