EK Abdichtung comprises two owner-managed sister companies, EK Bauwerkabdichtung von Glasenapp GmbH (founded 1988) and EK Abdichtungstechnik GmbH (founded 1992), based in Haar near Munich. The company specialises in injection work: crack injection, expansion joint rehabilitation, construction joint grouting, horizontal waterproofing barrier, structural body grouting, curtain grouting (Schleiervergelung), subsoil consolidation and excavation pit injection. The original focus was on injection hose sealing for new-build joint sealing in white tanks (waterproof concrete basements); today the core competence lies in the rehabilitation of waterproofing systems by injection, both accompanying construction on new buildings and in existing structures. Since the mid-1990s, consolidating injections into the subsoil as well as waterproofing of shafts, tunnels and excavation pits have also been carried out. The sealing of connection joints between old and new buildings, including the pressure-water-tight flanging and bonding of joint tapes, is also part of the service portfolio. EK Abdichtung works as a subcontractor for construction companies across the entire construction industry, among other things on underground car parks, bridges, steel warehouses and excavation pits.
