About Abeking & Rasmussen
Abeking & Rasmussen is a family shipyard founded in 1907 by Georg Abeking and Henry Rasmussen, headquartered in Lemwerder on the Weser. The company, operating as a Societas Europaea, builds superyachts, naval ships, governmental and special ships, as well as tug vessels. Since its founding, it has delivered over 6,500 vessels. In addition to new construction, the shipyard offers refit, maintenance, and repair services, spare parts manufacturing and documentation, as well as ship design and engineering. With the SWATH@A&R technology developed in 1999 (Small Waterplane Area Twin Hull), A&R has delivered 25 SWATH vessels to date and is considered a pioneer in this field. Five shipbuilding halls are available at the Lemwerder site for new construction and refit projects; the vessels are in operation worldwide.
