About ABS Schkeuditz

ABS Schkeuditz GmbH is a company in the plant and special-purpose machinery engineering sector based in Schkeuditz near Leipzig. It was founded in 1991 from the production equipment manufacturing operations of the liquidated VEB Maschinen- und Apparatebau Schkeuditz (MAB). Its portfolio of services includes lifting gear and load suspension devices, custom steel construction, production equipment and jigs as well as special systems and plants. As a full-service partner, the company accompanies projects from consulting through planning, design and manufacturing to assembly, documentation, project handover and follow-up. Production is predominantly in steel, partly also in aluminium; fusion welding is certified to DIN EN ISO 3834-2, and steel and aluminium structures are executed to EN 1090 EXC3. Customers include, among others, the automotive industry, mechanical and agricultural machinery engineering, aerospace engineering, the food industry, HVAC, medical and advertising technology, and the construction industry. ABS Schkeuditz GmbH is currently developing, together with the Fraunhofer IWU, a technology for manufacturing highly precise tubular components by means of passive internal high-pressure forming.
