About ABS Stute
ABS-Stute & Co. GmbH is a manufacturing company for elastomer technology founded in 1964 and based in Creglingen (Baden-Württemberg). The company produces rubber moulded parts and bellows from all common base elastomers such as NR, EPDM, SBR, CR and NBR as well as various mixed-rubber grades – using compression and transfer moulding on hydraulic presses with 800 to 2500 kN press force and tool clamping surfaces up to 600 x 600 mm. Another focus is the bonding of rubber to steel, stainless steel, aluminium or brass by vulcanisation, with metal pretreatment carried out in-house. In addition, ABS Stute offers fuel hoses to DIN 73379 and multi-layer barrier fuel hoses. Production ranges from single-piece production from 1 piece up to large-scale series with up to 100,000 pieces per year; part weights from a few grams to several kilograms are possible. Rubber compounds are sourced from renowned compounders such as Gummiwerk Krailburg, Trelleborg and Gumasol. Customers are found in the automotive industry (road, rail, special vehicles), in the electrical industry and in mechanical and apparatus engineering. Historically, the company was an original equipment supplier to, among others, VW, Büssing, Hanomag and Lloyd-Borgward.

Materials and Manufacturing Processes
Natural rubber
Common base elastomer for moulded parts and rubber-to-metal buffers (standard hardness 55 Shore A +/- 5).
EPDM
Base elastomer for moulded parts, bellows and weather-resistant hoses.
SBR
Base elastomer for rubber moulded parts produced by pressing.
Chloroprene rubber
Used for moulded parts and as the oil- and weather-resistant outer layer of fuel hoses.
Nitrile rubber
Fuel- and oil-resistant hose inner liner and base elastomer for moulded parts.
NBR/EPDM blend
Antistatic outer layer for biodiesel-compatible fuel hoses (type 2A TBSE).
Nitrile with thermoplastic barrier / CPE
4-layer barrier fuel hose (series 397, SAE J30R7) for biodiesel, ethanol and petrol.
Steel (e.g. 20 Mn B 4)
Metal partner for rubber-to-metal bonds and buffers; 20 Mn B 4 grade 5.6, chrome-free zinc-plated for standard stock items.
Stainless steel
Metal component for rubber-to-metal bonds according to customer drawing.
Aluminium
Metal component for rubber-to-metal bonds, pretreatment in-house.
Brass
Metal component for rubber-to-metal bonds according to customer drawing.

Quality
All articles are regularly subjected to quality control; with additional technical equipment, ABS Stute also carries out, among other things, hydraulic endurance tests. Finished parts are tested in-house or by a materials testing institute for hardness, tensile strength and elongation at break; raw material data is provided by the compounders with a test report for each compound batch.
