About ABW Medizin und Technik
Under the Merlin medical brand, ABW Medizin und Technik GmbH & Co. KG manufactures ball coagulometers for coagulation analysis in research and routine laboratories as well as technical coagulometers for endpoint determination of rheological measurements in production and quality assurance. The MC device series (MC1, MC4, MC4plus, MC10, MC10plus) is manufactured in Lemgo, partly with a photometer unit and custom versions with a circulation thermostat. In addition to device manufacturing, the portfolio includes reagents for platelet function diagnostics, consumables (PE tubes, cuvettes and balls), accessories made of aluminium and plastic, and freeze-drying (lyophilisation) of up to 1000 bottles per batch including formulation development for external customers. Since 1999, the company has also provided worldwide technical service for coagulometers of the Schnitger&Gross, Amelung (KC series) and Merlin brands. The company has been certified to DIN EN ISO 13485:2021 since May 2025 and meets the requirements of the EU regulations MDR and IVDR. Distribution is handled worldwide from Lemgo; a distributor is in place for China.
