Acheson Industries Deutschland is the Dornstadt site of the internationally operating specialty chemicals group Acheson Industries, which is part of Henkel as the BONDERITE brand. The company develops and sells coating chemicals and process solutions for industrial manufacturing, including graphite dispersions, lubricants for forming processes, coolants and cleaners for machining, and surface treatments such as zinc phosphating, chromium-free conversion coatings, light-metal pretreatment and autophoretic coating. Historically, the company was a world-leading supplier of coatings for the cathode-ray-tube (CRT) industry, including Black Matrix Coatings and conductive graphite coatings on glass. The chemical products are used for metals and light metals such as aluminum as well as for glass. Customer industries include metal processing, automotive, electronics, packaging and transport. In addition, the company offers LineguardX, a monitoring system for process control, as well as on-site technical application consulting.
