About SICAT-ACM
ACM GmbH and its sister company SICAT SAS develop, manufacture and distribute synthetic carbon and silicon carbide materials with controlled porosity, used primarily as catalyst supports in the chemical, petrochemical and environmental technology industries. SICAT was founded in 2000 as an R&D unit, ACM in 2010 for commercialization and production. The products are scaled from laboratory through pilot to commercial scale and include mesoporous β-silicon carbide produced by the self-bonding SiC process as well as mesoC+™ carbon pellets with high purity, high mechanical strength and a defined, adjustable shape. Following the majority acquisition by Saint-Gobain NorPro in May 2023, ACM invested in a new production line and increased its capacity to 150 tons of catalyst supports per year. The development team of 7 engineers and technicians works in an 1,800 m² plant in Willstätt, around 15 km from Strasbourg.
