About ADA
ADA was founded in 1957 by Alois Derler in Anger near Weiz in Styria and is today Austria's largest upholstered furniture manufacturer. The company produces sofas, sectional sofas, armchairs, beds, slatted frames, mattresses and tables for the Mindful Living segment. Production takes place entirely in Europe; according to its own statements, ADA carries out around 98% of the production steps itself, based on a craft tradition cultivated since 1957. Materials used include wood, textiles and upholstery fabrics. In addition to its own brand, ADA carries out licensed production for brands such as BIRKENSTOCK, JOOP! and Tom Tailor. Sales are handled via a retail partner network in the region as well as online with a configurator; the website is available in German, English and Hungarian.

Karl Derler founds a ropery in Anger (hemp ropes, cords, among other things for mattress manufacturers).
- 1930
Alois as well as Oskar and Ingeborg Derler shape mattress manufacturing; independent execution and delivery of all production steps.

ADA founded by Alois Derler in Anger near Weiz; name derived from 'Alois Derler Anger'; product range expanded to include beds and sofas; elephant as trademark.

After the death of Alois Derler, the company is taken over by Oskar Derler, Heinz Derler and Alois Nießl; ADA becomes Austria's largest upholstered furniture manufacturer.
