ADASYS GmbH, based in Kornwestheim, distributes point-of-sale (POS) hardware solutions across Europe. The product portfolio includes all-in-one point-of-sale systems (VariPOS series, PT series), panel PCs, modular box PCs, monitors, PDAs and tablets, thermal printers, receipt printers, label and mobile printers, as well as kiosk systems and self-checkout terminals. The hardware comes mostly from direct imports, especially from Taiwan; partners include Poindus, BIXOLON, Citizen, Zebra, APG, Pyramid, CyberData and Pospole. Since 2017, ADASYS has been wholly owned by Poindus Systems Corp. Taiwan; the parent company Poindus was acquired by Compal in 2022, one of the largest electronics contract manufacturers in the world. The offering also includes professional consulting, technical telephone support, repair and return processing (RMA/DOA) and loaner units. The company was founded in 1987 as Technisches Büro für Nachrichtentechnik (TBN) and converted into ADASYS GmbH in 1994.

Foundation of Technisches Büro für Nachrichtentechnik (TBN) by Thomas Schäfer and Klaus Zimmer.

Distribution of LED display boards and PC point-of-sale peripherals; cooperations including with Citizen.

Conversion of TBN into ADASYS GmbH, at that time more than five employees.

Move to Max-Planck-Straße in Kornwestheim; increasing direct imports from Taiwan; introduction of one of the first touch-based point-of-sale systems in Germany.
