About ACL

Additiv-Chemie Luers GmbH & Co. KG (ACL) is an independent manufacturer of additives for metalworking fluids, industrial lubricants, cleaners, corrosion protection agents and specialties. The portfolio includes synthetic and natural sodium, barium and calcium sulfonates, EP and AW performance additives, corrosion inhibitors, surfactants, fatty acid amides, esters, defoamers and custom additive packages, among others for hydraulic oils according to DIN 51524. In addition to standard products, ACL develops tailored formulations in close collaboration with customers, with a focus on products with an improved sustainability profile, for example through biobased components and reduced hazard labeling. Production takes place at the Delmenhorst site with über 80 heatable and coolable mixing and tank vessels, a sulfonation plant and three production halls. The company is part of the Diersch & Schröder Group and supplies customers in around 50 countries in Europe, Asia, Africa, North and South America as well as Australia. Subsidiaries and shareholdings are Alpha Chemie GmbH (Freital) and EstiChem A/S (Denmark).

Products and Raw Materials

Na-Sulfonat

Sodium sulfonates

Core of the product range; synthetic, natural and mineral-oil-free, molecular weights 420–600 g/mol, with corrosion protection and emulsifying capability.

Ba-Sulfonat

Barium sulfonates

Neutral and overbased types for corrosion protection with good demulsifying properties.

Ca-Sulfonat

Calcium sulfonates

In neutral and overbased form a component of EP additives and rust inhibitors.

Aminborat

Amine borates and amine carboxylates

Corrosion inhibitors for water-soluble and water-miscible coolants, standardly DEA-free.

Phosphorsäureester

Phosphoric acid esters (AW additives)

Oil-soluble and water-miscible AW additives with excellent wear protection and corrosion protection properties.

Polysulfid

Polysulfides TPS® 20/32/44 (Arkema)

Sulfurized EP additives, for which ACL acts as distribution partner in DACH, PL, SK, CZ and TR.

Ester

Synthetic mono- and pentaerythritol esters

Esters with high hydrolytic stability and good lubricating properties for metalworking fluids and release agents.

Tensid

Fatty acid amides and ethoxylated fatty alcohols

Co-emulsifiers and emulsifiers for water-miscible metalworking fluids and cleaners.

BTZ/TTZ

Non-ferrous metal inhibitors (benzotriazole, tolyltriazole)

Oil- and water-soluble protection for copper, brass, red brass and bronze.

Oxidat

Oxidates and butyl esters

Based on oxidized waxes and white oils, component of temporary corrosion protection agents.
