About addmotion
Additive Manufacturing in Motion GmbH (addmotion) is a high-tech start-up founded in 2020 in Berlin, focused on industrial, large-format 3D printing from plastic granulate. Out of more than three years of research work at the Beuth University of Applied Sciences Berlin together with local SMEs, a novel high-speed drive concept has emerged which, according to the company, currently enables printing times about three times faster than conventional processes; the concept is the subject of a patent application and utility model protection is in place. The print volume is adapted to the format requirements – from one cubic meter up to a 20-foot container; contract printing produces components up to 800×800×900 mm. Common injection-molding materials are processed in granulate and filament form, including recycled granulates. Manufactured items include prototypes, one-off parts, spare parts, small series, architectural presentation models as well as art objects. In addition, the company offers engineering consulting (3D design, mechanics, electronics, mechatronics, plant control, software development), custom machine development, support in setting up 3D printing production lines, and certification of granulates with a focus on recycled material.
