About AddUp

AddUp is a joint venture of Michelin and Fives and manufactures metal 3D printing systems based on Laser Powder Bed Fusion (L-PBF) and Directed Energy Deposition (DED). The FormUp machine series (PBF) offers high surface quality with a roller recoater, open parameter platforms, and automated powder management; the BeAM 400 and BeAM 800 systems (DED) are designed for near-net-shape production, repair of wear parts, and multi-metal applications. The portfolio is complemented by process monitoring software (AddUp Dashboards), material development, qualification support (IQ/OQ/PQ, AMS7003, ISO 13485, AS9100), and a comprehensive training program. Materials include steel, titanium, aluminum (including AlSi7Mg), and Inconel. Applications range from injection molding tools and heat exchangers to structural parts for aerospace and medical technology. AddUp GmbH, based in Aachen, operates an AM Tooling Competence Center together with the WBA Aachen Toolmaking Academy featuring an installed FormUp 350.
