ADL Analoge & Digitale Leistungselektronik GmbH is a developer and manufacturer of power supplies and generators for thin-film coating (sputtering technology) as well as power electronics for special industrial applications and research institutions. The portfolio includes DC power supplies from 0.5 kW to 140 kW, unipolar and bipolar pulse generators, and power supplies for ion sources. Manufacturing takes place entirely at the Darmstadt site (Made in Germany) with a high level of vertical integration: from transformer construction to cable assembly, electronics population, module assembly and final assembly, through to in-house machining on CNC machines. In the company's own coating laboratory with a Z6000 system for planar and tube cathodes, coatings and applications are tested in interaction with all devices. Solutions range from prototypes and small series to products in high volumes. Customers include system integrators and end customers from the display, film, glass, hard coatings/tools, decorative surfaces, microelectronics, optics and sensor industries, as well as research institutions.

Quality & Testing
All devices pass through a test field with in-house power test benches; in the test laboratory and coating laboratory, power supplies and generators are tested under real sputtering conditions on planar and tube cathodes. Repairs of delivered devices are carried out at ADL in Darmstadt within 24 hours of device receipt (Mon–Fri).
