About Admotec Precision AG

Admotec Precision AG, based in Zürich, was founded in 1987 and develops, designs, produces and distributes motion and position sensors for original equipment manufacturers. The core product is the Rotasyn resolver with a solid full-metal rotor without insulation and without coils on the rotor, complemented by RVDT and brushless resolver solutions for absolute angle measurement over 360°. The sensors use PTFE or Kapton insulation and are nearly insensitive to temperature in the range of –200 °C to +250 °C. In addition to standard sizes (outer diameter 20–290 mm), Admotec offers customer-specific versions with special windings, special housings, air gaps up to 1 mm, external rotors and multipole versions from 8 pole pairs. Manufacturing includes chip-on-board and die-attach technology, electron beam and laser welding, and hermetically sealed sensors; resolver test benches and complete sensor-to-digital output solutions round out the offering. Customers come from aerospace, e-mobility, robotics, nuclear power and research, oil drilling, shipbuilding and motorsport; references include Airbus, Safran, Ariane, Williams, Renault, Parker, Wittenstein, UTC and AREVA.

Quality and Certification

The quality management system for the development, sales and production of sensors for aerospace, e-mobility and robotics is certified to ISO 9001:2015 (SQS, Reg. CH-46709); in addition, EN 9100 is cited. The sensors are tested on in-house resolver test benches, with RDC resolutions of 12–16 bits and typical accuracies of 10–40 arcminutes.
