Mechanical engineering in its fourth generation

Adolf Müller GmbH & Co. KG Maschinenfabrik is a fourth-generation family company based in Scheeßel (Lower Saxony) that has been developing and building machines since 1906. Originally specialized in woodworking machines such as saw frames, the focus has shifted since the 1950s to special machinery for converting: slitting machines, winding machines, spooling machines, laminating machines as well as automatic handling systems for roll loading and unloading, core feeding, palletizing and packaging. Every machine is engineered as a one-off build tailored to the customer's requirements. The company covers most of the value chain itself: mechanical, electrical and pneumatic design, programming, in-house control cabinet construction, electrical and mechanical assembly, with around 80 percent vertical integration. Customers come from anti-counterfeiting, adhesive tape and label industries, aviation and transport (prepregs/CFRP/GRP), medical technology, hygiene and the battery industry. The portfolio is complemented by retrofits, after-sales services and spare parts supply.
