Adolf ROTH GmbH & Co. KG is a family-owned energy business founded in Gießen in 1949. The company supplies heating oil (including bio and HVO heating oil according to DIN 51603-1), natural gas, electricity, bottled gas and LPG as well as lubricants, and operates a network of more than 60 filling stations in Germany. History

1. 1949

   Founded on 15.09.1949 by Adolf and Käthe Roth as a mineral oil trading business at the Gießen freight station as an agency/sales partner of ESSO AG.

2. 1958

   Youngest son Dieter Roth joins the company; establishment as a heating oil trader.

3. 1966

   Dieter Roth takes over the management (approx. 10 employees).

4. 1967

   Introduction of the ROTH Heating Service (repairs/service relating to tanks and heating systems).

5. Relocation of the company headquarters to the Gießen industrial area West; development of a filling station network (more than 60 filling stations).

6. Christiane Roth joins the family business.

7. New depot in the Europaviertel with loading ramp, workshop, LPG storage and two elevated tanks including a rail siding.

8. Connection to the London oil exchange (trading business, variable pricing models).

9. 2008

   New depot with elevated tanks in Frankfurt-Osthafen, supply by water from the ARA region possible.

10. 2010

    New depot with elevated tanks in Aschaffenburg.
