About AEC ILLUMINAZIONE
AEC ILLUMINAZIONE is a family-owned company in the lighting industry, founded in Italy in 1957 and still owner-managed, and is today the Italian market leader in public LED street lighting. The product range includes LED pole-mounted luminaires, cable-suspended luminaires, pedestrian crossing luminaires, floodlights and area floodlights, tunnel luminaires as well as decorative urban lighting and historical luminaires. The housings are made of die-cast aluminium or stainless steel, with covers made of toughened safety glass (ESG) and an environmentally friendly powder coating; production is highly automated at the company's own factory in Italy. The company invests around €10 million per year in manufacturing and development and operates two DEKRA-certified photometric laboratories with an integrating sphere (Ulbricht sphere) and a goniophotometer. Customers include cities and municipalities, energy utilities, architecture and planning offices, retail, electrical installers and businesses. The German sales and office location is in Neu-Anspach; reference projects range from Milan and Berlin to Sydney, Singapore, Dubai and London.

Materials & Processes
Die-cast aluminium
Housing manufacturing of the luminaires, fully recyclable and low in plastic.
Stainless steel
Alternative material option for luminaire housings with elevated corrosion requirements.
Toughened safety glass (tempered flat glass)
Covers with 4–5 mm thickness, optionally satin-finished to minimize glare.
Powder coating
Environmentally friendly surface coating, standard color graphite (similar to RAL 7016), other colors on request.

Quality & Testing
All luminaires are manufactured at the company's own plant in Italy and tested in two DEKRA-certified, independent photometric laboratories – including IP protection rating, IK rating, thermal behavior up to 50 °C, corrosion resistance (salt spray test) and electrical safety. Photometric, radiometric and colorimetric measurements are performed with an integrating sphere / Ulbricht sphere (IES LM-79) and a goniophotometer (IEC EN 62471); regular inspections by DEKRA, UL and Analytical Cetace ensure compliance with standards.
