About Aegis Rider

Aegis Rider is a Swiss company based in Regensdorf near Zurich that develops the AR motorcycle helmet Aegis Rider Vision. The helmet is based on the Nexx X.WST3 platform with a carbon shell and is manufactured in cooperation with the Portuguese helmet manufacturer Nexx, where the Aegis Rider electronics are also integrated. The spatially anchored augmented reality displays navigation, speed and riding data in front of the motorcycle, not fixed to the visor; the AR optics are a stereoscopic transparent combiner with 1080p per eye. The system also includes an action camera (1080p, 135°), a rear-view camera with blind-spot warning (in development), the Pro-Box GNSS sensor module, Bluetooth communication and a companion app. Aegis Rider was founded in 2020 as a spin-off from the Computer Vision Lab at ETH Zurich and targets motorcyclists as well as motorcycle and automotive OEMs.
