About Aemas
Aemas is a company founded in 1999 by Bert van der Hoeff and based in Oosterhout (Netherlands), specializing in elemental analysis. Originally started as a laboratory for demanding ICP-OES and ICP-MS analyses, Aemas has distributed spectrometry instruments from Teledyne Leeman Labs since 2005, including ICP-OES spectrometers, mercury analyzers and DC-arc spectrometers. Since 2010, Spectral Systems (Germany) has also been represented with ETV technology (electrothermal vaporization); the portfolio further includes CHNS/O elemental analyzers from NC Technologies, TOC and VOC analyzers, as well as automation and sample preparation systems. In its own demonstration and application laboratory, Aemas develops applications for instruments from both represented and non-represented manufacturers before installation at the customer. Its range of services includes Same Day Service (on site within 24 hours in 95% of cases), training, and the post-bachelor course "Atomic Emission Spectrometry with ICP" in collaboration with Avans+. Customers come from environmental analysis, water treatment, pharmaceuticals, food and agricultural research, energy, and chemistry.

Processes and Analysis Methods
ICP-OES Spectroscopy
Elemental analysis for demanding samples, the original technology of the laboratory founded in 1999 and the core of the distribution portfolio.
ICP-MS Spectroscopy
Highly sensitive elemental analysis, part of the service portfolio since the laboratory was founded in 1999.
Mercury Analysis (Mercury Analyzers)
Detection and quantification of mercury in various sample types for environmental monitoring and compliance.
DC-Arc Spectrometry
Spectrometric technique from the Teledyne Leeman Labs portfolio.
Electrothermal Vaporization (ETV)
Can be coupled with ICP-OES/ICP-MS; the sample is vaporized and introduced directly into the plasma, without sample preparation.
CHNS/O Elemental Analysis
Determination of carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, sulfur and oxygen in solid, liquid and gaseous organic samples (NC Technologies).
TOC Analysis
Determination of total organic carbon in water, soil or waste for environmental monitoring and pharmaceutical quality control.
VOC Analysis (Purge & Trap)
Enrichment and detection of volatile organic compounds coupled with GC.
Carbon-14 Analysis (SCAR)
Differentiation of biogenic and fossil CO₂ fractions, e.g. for emission reporting and compliance.
Automated Sample Preparation
Robot-supported handling, mixing and dilution to improve reproducibility and efficiency.
Dissolution and Diffusion Testing
Pharmaceutical testing of dissolution behavior and permeation, supplemented by powder flowability tests.
