About Aero Gearbox International
Aero Gearbox International (AGI) is a 50/50 joint venture of Rolls-Royce plc and Safran Transmission Systems headquartered in Colombes near Paris. The company designs, develops, manufactures and supports the Accessory Drive Train (ADT) for future civil Rolls-Royce gas turbine engines; the ADT supplies mechanical energy for systems such as fuel pumps, lubrication, starters and on-board power generation. AGI holds an exclusive supply agreement with an initial term of 25 years, initially covering the ADT systems for the Trent 7000 (Airbus A330neo), the Trent XWB (Airbus A350) and business jet applications. Activities span the entire product life cycle: design and development, manufacturing and assembly as well as services and MRO. Since 2026, AGI has been extending its manufacturing capabilities to complex mechanical parts such as gears and shafts for actuation. Series production takes place at the state-of-the-art production plant in Ropczyce, Poland; further sites exist in France, the United Kingdom and Germany.
