About aerotill
aerotill is an EXIST-funded startup developing an air injection system for ploughs. Air is introduced into the soil gap via precision bores in shares, landside guides and mouldboards; the thin air film acts as a lubricant between soil and steel and reduces draft force by up to 40%. The system is offered as a retrofit kit for existing ploughs and comprises tools with integrated air injection geometry as well as a compressor and air distribution system operated via PTO or hydraulic connection. According to the company, the technology is patent pending in the EU, USA and China. Target groups include farmers, spare parts manufacturers, agricultural machinery dealers and manufacturers of soil cultivation equipment.
