About Aesculap Schermaschinen
Aesculap Schermaschinen GmbH develops and manufactures in Suhl (Thuringia) corded and battery-operated clippers and hair cutting machines as well as clipper plates and clipper heads for applications on dogs, cats, horses, cattle, sheep and other livestock, as well as for the hairdressing trade. The company's history dates back to 1912, when the first electrically operated hair cutting machine was invented; the veterinary clipper Econom followed a short time later. The heart of the site, which is regarded as the Center of Excellence for clippers, is the highly industrialized, partially automated production of clipper heads and clipper plates; the motors of the devices are also produced in-house. Since the end of 2023, the company has additionally been producing the Hippomed inhalers AirOne and AirOne Flex and provides their servicing. Founded in 2021, the GmbH is a 100 percent subsidiary of Albert Kerbl GmbH (Kerbl Group) and supplies its products worldwide via specialized trade.
