About AFOTEK
AFOTEK Anlagen für Oberflächentechnik GmbH, based in Bad Hersfeld, has been planning, developing and manufacturing turnkey, fully automated surface technology systems for over 30 years. The portfolio includes wet painting systems, plastics and metal painting systems, powder coating systems, KTL and ATL electro dip coating systems, pretreatment systems, drying systems, biological exhaust air purification systems, as well as AFOTEK's own Shuttle conveyor system (ASF). A large proportion of the system components, such as units, booth housings, flash-off zones, dryers and pretreatment systems, are manufactured in-house and delivered as prefabricated modules, which shortens assembly time at the customer's site. System control is implemented via Siemens S7 with TIA Portal, complemented by a digital twin, real-time 3D simulation (AFOTEK Paint), dashboards and ERP and MES integration. Customers include companies from the automotive and agricultural machinery industries, engine and casting manufacturing, medical technology as well as the plastics and chemical industries. To date, around 600 systems have been realized and customers supplied in 20 countries.
