About Afro Coffee

Afro Coffee is a premium coffee supplier based in Austria sourcing 100% Fairtrade-certified beans from family farms in Ethiopia and Tanzania. The coffee is hand-picked at over 800 metres above sea level in garden and small-plot cultivation and traded directly with the farms via local coffee cooperatives. The product range includes coffee beans, ground coffee, aluminium capsules in four varieties (also decaf), organic capsules, tea in hand-sewn cotton bags as well as Afro Spices. For the distribution of its own capsules, the KAHAWA capsule machine was developed together with the Milanese design studio deepdesign® (stainless steel, plastic, 19 bar, energy efficiency class A++), including accessories and spare parts. Afro Coffee supplies end customers via its online shop, office/business customers (1-kg packs, hospitality sets) as well as the hospitality industry, and operates its own catering business with the Afro Cafe in Salzburg. The company is engaged in local stove production in Ethiopia through the Cook Stove Project.
