About AFS
AFS Entwicklungs + Vertriebs GmbH, based in Horgau (Bavaria), has been developing, producing and distributing plasma, corona and perforation systems for more than 40 years. The systems are used for the surface pretreatment of web materials, in particular films: plasma and corona pretreatment improve adhesion through surface activation, while needle perforation systems create precise perforations for breathable films. The systems are designed for smooth continuous operation, automatically log process parameters and are equipped with early warning systems. In terms of design and construction principle, only stainless steel, aluminium and ceramics are used; plastics are deliberately avoided. Safety equipment includes tamper-proof non-contact proximity switches, web break detection, grounded metal housings and vacuum switches for monitoring extraction and ozone discharge. An in-house CE department assists customers with the Machinery Directive, the Machinery Regulation (MVO), the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) and risk assessments. A worldwide service handles repairs and spare parts supply, with a two-year warranty beyond the statutory warranty.
