AGCO GmbH, headquartered in Marktoberdorf, manufactures tractors under the Fendt brand in all size classes, from the 200 Vario series up to the 1100 Vario MT, as well as continuously variable Vario transmissions. The product portfolio also includes combine harvesters (IDEAL, C series), forage harvesters (Katana), field sprayers (Rogator), balers, loading wagons, mower units and forage harvesting technology. Production takes place in the company's own plant network: In Asbach-Bäumenheim, cab and body components are produced from sheet metal, tubes and profiles using 2D, 3D and 5-axis laser cutting, welding robots and automated bonding/joining cells; in Marktoberdorf, all tractors are developed, assembled and marketed. Around 20,000 tractors and 29,000 Vario transmissions leave the plants annually, with an export share of 68%. Further sites are Hohenmölsen, Feucht, Wolfenbüttel (DE), Breganze (IT) and Jackson (US). The company employs around 6,100 people and has been part of the US corporation AGCO Corporation since 1997.
