About AGK Hochleistungswerkstoffe GmbH

AGK Hochleistungswerkstoffe GmbH in Dortmund manufactures pressure-resistant, electrically and thermally insulating machine components and assemblies from around 50 different high-performance materials with service temperatures from 100 °C to 1500 °C. The material portfolio comprises thermosetting laminates (hard paper, hard fabric, GRP, laminated wood), fiber cements, mica materials, calcium silicates, technical ceramics, sliding materials based on graphite and carbon, and heat protection textiles. Production is carried out to customer drawings or samples in single pieces and small series on CNC milling machines (parts up to 1300 x 3000 mm, partly simultaneous 5-axis) and CNC lathes (up to Ø 500 mm / 1000 mm length); in addition, the company performs its own plate pressing, bonding with high-temperature adhesives, the converting of heat protection fabrics, and assemblies also over 3000 mm in length. Customers include foundries, steelworks and electric arc furnace operators, the aluminium and glass industries, furnace, press and transformer construction, as well as drive, conveying and packaging technology. The company maintains a production area of over 2000 sqm in the Ruhr region and, including the hall purchased in 2019, a total of around 5700 sqm of storage space for semi-finished products with delivery within 24 hours.
