About Agrano
Agrano AG is a Swiss manufacturer of baking ingredients and semi-finished products for bakeries, confectioneries, patisseries and the gastronomy sector. The product range includes bread and cake baking mixes, baking agents, pre-mixes (e.g. HighPro protein bread), ready-to-use cream fillings (Schokobella, Kranfil's), fruit purées, chilled preferments, fruit, herb and cereal pastes, acidifiers, jelly products as well as beverage concentrates, packed under modified atmosphere in containers from 1 kg to 25 kg. Founded in 1946 in Basel by Alfred Ch. Scherz with a gluten-strengthening vitamin preparation, the market breakthrough followed with baking agents based on malt, milk, sourdough and enzymes; due to growth, the company relocated to Allschwil. As there was no successor within the founding family, Agrano AG was acquired by the Oetker Collection KG and today belongs to the internationally active Martin Braun Group (Bakery Ingredients Division). From its site at Ringstrasse 19 in CH-4123 Allschwil, production, distribution and technical consulting for German-speaking and Western Switzerland are organized; in addition, the company offers seminars and events such as the YoungStar together with the Richemont Fachschule (Richemont Vocational School).
