AGRO Holzhandel GmbH is a timber trading company founded in 1990, headquartered in Greußen with its own sawmill in Kleinfurra, Thuringia. At the sawmill, roundwood—mainly from softwood species—is processed into sawn timber, edged timber, construction timber, pallet wood and firewood as well as formwork; in addition, planed products such as profiled timber, boards, tongue-and-groove boards, stair steps, fencing components and beech smoking chips are produced. The range of services includes timber cutting and contract sawing to measure, kiln drying, impregnation of construction timber, and delivery with its own vehicle fleet including loading crane. The wholesale and retail operation on 3,200 m² offers construction timber, building components, interior fittings and tools for trades, timber construction, landscaping as well as private customers. Assembly work such as roof trusses, doors, windows or conservatories is carried out by the partner mb Holzbauelemente GmbH; the company employs 23 staff as well as apprentices.
