About AGRU
agru Kunststofftechnik Gesellschaft m.b.H., headquartered in Bad Hall, Upper Austria, was founded in 1948 by Alois Gruber senior and is an internationally active family-owned company in the field of technical plastics. The company manufactures piping systems, injection-molded fittings, semi-finished products such as sheets, rods and welding rods, concrete protection liners as well as geomembranes for landfill and tunnel construction made from polypropylene, polyethylene and other technical plastics. Injection molding machines for fittings in pipeline construction have been in use since 1966; in 2012 production of large-diameter pipes up to 2500 mm in diameter started. In 2016, AGRU built Plant V as a cleanroom production facility (ISO Class 5) for piping systems of the PURAD brand for ultrapure media applications. Around 100,000 tonnes of plastic are processed annually; the export share is over 90%. With 1,020 employees and global sales revenue of EUR 375 million (2017), AGRU ranks among the 130 largest industrial companies in Austria. In addition to its headquarters in Bad Hall, the company operates production sites in Germany, the USA, Poland and China.
