About Us

Airmix is a sole proprietorship founded in 1985 by Egon Becker, based in Unna-Königsborn. The company operates a specialist mail-order business centered on the model aviation sport: the product range includes aviation DVDs with training courses, airshows, travel tips and mishap clips, the Showtime streaming portal with a film archive, and flying toys (Airtoys) such as throwing gliders, UFO spinners, parachutes and soap bubbles. The starting point was the founding of Blue Airlines in 1985, through which designed electric gliders were sold via the model-building trade. In 1992, six model aviation instructional films for beginners followed, and in 1999 the first professionally produced aviation magazine 'Airmix Video', whose DVDs were included with the trade magazines FMT, Modell and Elektromodell. In addition to mail-order trading, Airmix is present with a booth at airshows and similar events to popularize model aviation as a hobby. Customers are model aviation enthusiasts and private customers in the German-speaking region.
