AIV Amann Industrievertretung GmbH was founded in 2001 as a spin-off of the new and used sheet metal working machines division from Amann Werkzeugmaschinen GmbH. The company, based in Unterschleißheim near Munich, sells new machine tool and sheet metal working machines, handles purchase and sale as well as brokerage transactions, and offers a sourcing service for hard-to-find machines. Business operations are continued by Amann Werkzeugmaschinen GmbH, which was founded in 1969 by Günter A. Amann and maintains more than 15,000 m² of exhibition space at its Unterschleißheim, Nuremberg and Brandenburg an der Havel sites with over 500 new and used machine tools. Customers come from the automotive industry (OEMs and suppliers), mechanical engineering, aerospace, medical technology, and measurement, control and instrumentation technology. The company supplies the national market as well as customers in Europe and emerging Asian markets, supporting them in the selection, evaluation and handling of machine tools.
