About us
AK Regeltechnik GmbH is a family-run manufacturer of oil hydraulic control systems based in Helmstedt, in business since 1976. The company develops, produces and assembles custom-made control valves, electrohydraulic valves, single-lever controls, LPG pumps, hydraulic power units, flange systems as well as accessories and spare parts – even in small quantities. Turned parts and housings are manufactured in-house on modern CNC machines from machinable metals such as stainless steel, free-cutting steel, brass and aluminium as well as plastics; grinding and honing achieve tolerances of up to 2 μm. State-of-the-art CAD and CAM systems, 3D coordinate measuring technology as well as testing and measuring equipment ensure quality standards throughout the entire production process. The approximately 50 employees supply renowned manufacturers from the agricultural machinery, construction machinery and industrial sectors as well as customers from environmental technology, the LPG industry and mobile crane technology in Germany and Europe. Services also include repair, reconditioning and overhaul of valves of all brands as well as on-site maintenance and acceptance testing. The company has been certified to DIN EN ISO 9001 since 2006.

History
- 1976
Founded as Ökonomik Hydraulik by Dieter Knopff, initially operated from the basement of the family home.
- 1984
Rental of a production hall due to growing demand.
- 1987
First move within Helmstedt; all business divisions back under one roof.
- 1992
Axel Knopff acquired the premises in Helmstedt and founded AK Regeltechnik GmbH.
- 1999
Assembly and warehouse relocated to Twieflingen due to lack of capacity.
- 2006
Acquisition of the premises on Dieselstraße in Helmstedt (including 2.000 m² of hall space); initial ISO 9001 certification.
- 2019
Johann Kalinowski joins as shareholder and managing director; the generational change has been initiated.
