About AKG Smart Polymer
AKG Smart Polymer GmbH is a traditional Austrian plastics processor with around 70 years of experience. At its production site in Wildon (Styria), plastic hollow bodies are manufactured using the hollow-body extrusion process (extrusion blow moulding), including technical parts, automotive components, industrial packaging, hospital waste containers and modular floating elements. Production is complemented by downstream machining, automation and assembly processes – from CNC milling of plastic components to robotic cells and packaging. The company develops and produces 100 % in Austria, thereby securing more than 40 jobs. Customers come from industries such as automotive, agricultural machinery, medical technology, construction, sanitary fittings, mineral oil, food, beverage and chemical industries as well as the public sector and waste management. Since 2026 the company has belonged to the Schoeller Group and operates as AKG Smart Polymer GmbH (formerly AKG Plastics GmbH).
