About Akira
Akira (formerly Price Induction) is a French company headquartered in Bayonne, specializing in the design and realization of energy conversion systems. Its range of services covers turbomachinery, piston engines, electrical machines and mechanical subsystems such as auxiliary power units and gearboxes. A well-known product is the DGEN turbofan family (DGEN 380/390) for light twin-engine aircraft with four to six seats and an MTOW of 1400 to 2150 kg, designed as a geared fan with an all-electric concept for the general aviation flight envelope. In addition, the company develops and manufactures special test benches and special-purpose machinery for research, production and qualification, hybridization studies with demonstrators, and the WESTT product family for training and research at universities worldwide. R&T projects are carried out across the entire process from preliminary study to Proof of Concept.
