AKKİM Kimya is a Turkish chemical manufacturer with a broad product portfolio: basic chemicals, salts and chlor-alkali products, sodium carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC), plastic additives, textile and paper chemicals, water treatment chemistry as well as ultrafiltration solutions, construction chemistry and food additives. In 2023, the company commissioned Turkey's first epoxy resin production plant; according to the company, the plant was reported to be shortly before full commissioning in 2024. The products serve industries ranging from the plastics and textile industries to paper and construction through to water treatment and food production. The company is also active in the areas of sustainability, product safety and process safety and, among other things, has signed the UN Global Compact principles as well as the Responsible Care initiative.
