About Akovis
Akovis GmbH is an engineering service provider headquartered in Munich and part of the Hatz Group. The company supports medium-sized enterprises from industry, construction and agriculture as well as mechanical and plant engineering in the development of machines, drives and processes. Its service spectrum includes engineering for the electrification and hybridization of drives, digitalization with process automation, IoT connectivity, remote diagnostics and AI methods, as well as testing with modular measurement data acquisition and analysis systems for automated test processes and end-of-line testing. Further areas of expertise lie in the development of control and power electronics, embedded software, FPGA-based controllers and system integration. Founded in 2014 as Inecosys out of the Technical University of Munich, the start-up was acquired by Motorenfabrik Hatz in 2021 and renamed Akovis GmbH in 2026. The team comprises around 25 employees; projects are supported from prototype through to series production readiness.
