About Aktienbrauerei Simmerberg

The Aktienbrauerei Simmerberg is a brewery in Simmerberg, a district of the market town of Weiler-Simmerberg in the Lindau (Bodensee) district. The brewing tradition dates back to 1706, when beer was brewed and served in the cellar rooms of the Zum Adler inn. The product range includes cellar beers, Helles, hefeweizen, pilsner, festival beer and bock beers, some in organic quality, as well as beer brandy and beer liqueur made from the BIO Alpenbock. In addition to the Simmerberg brand, production is also carried out for the Lindauer brand, including Helles, wheat beer, bock beer and Radler. Annual output is approximately 5,000 hectoliters. The brewing process follows the Bavarian Purity Law and is monitored by the brewmaster at every step. At the Ellhofer Straße 2 site are the brewery, the original house, and the Bräustatt and Taferne restaurants; guided tours and brewery visits are offered.
